Nancy Lou (Ransdell) Lynn

Nancy Lou Lynn, 94, of Hillsboro, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025. She was born February 18, 1931, in Witt, IL, a daughter of Robert and Hazel (Rufus) Ransdell. She graduated from Witt High School. She married James Winfield Lynn June 23, 1956, and they enjoyed 66 years of marriage until his passing August 13, 2022. Mrs. Lynn was an account manager with ASCS – Department of Agriculture for 38 years.

Mrs. Lynn is survived by:

Daughters, Kathy (David) Johnson of Raymond, and Penny Lynn of Hillsboro.

Grandsons, Justin (Catherine) Johnson and Neal Johnson

Great-granddaughter, Emma Lynn Johnson.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Lynn was preceded in death by brothers Sherman Ransdell and Robert Ransdell.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Lynn will be held Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Witt Cemetery in Witt. There will be no visitation. A funeral procession will line up at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro and go in procession to the cemetery.
