Sandra Kay (Sears) Bertinotti

Sandra Kay Bertinotti, 82 of Hillsboro, IL, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 6:15 p.m. at her residence. Visitation will be held Friday, April 26, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at St. Barbara Cemetery in Witt, IL. Mark Noyes of Hillsboro will officiate.

Sandy was born June 10, 1941 to Lawrence E. and Marcella (Seaton) Sears, who have both preceded in death. She attended schools in Schram City, IL and graduated from Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL. She married Dominick “Don” Bertinotti on November 21, 1959 in Witt, IL, he preceded December 2, 2017. Mrs. Bertinotti lived in the Hillsboro area all of her life and worked as an office clerk at Dunn’s Electric in Hillsboro, IL. She also assisted her husband as the Hillsboro Country Club Greens Keeper. Sandy enjoyed playing cards at the Hillsboro Moose Lodge. She also loved to go to yard sales, play darts, and to golf.

She is survived by her daughter, Teri Bertinotti of Hillsboro, IL; sister, Barbara Springer of Naperville, IL; and also several nieces and nephews. She is preceded by her parents, husband, sister, Betty White and brother-in-laws, Merle White and Don Springer.
