Leroy Henry Kuhl

Leroy Henry Kuhl, 76, of Coffeen, IL, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024 at 2:10 a.m. at Hillsboro Rehab & Health Care Center in Hillsboro, IL. Cremation rites will be accorded and no services are planned at this time.

Leroy was born December 7, 1947 in Breese, IL. to Leo & Henrietta Mary (Hermling) Kuhl, both preceded in death. He is a graduate of Greenville High School in Greenville, IL. He spent 10 years employed at Olin in Alton, IL. He then worked as a laborer for Union Labor Local #1084 in Hillsboro, IL, until retirement. He married Sally Campbell, they later divorced. He then married Paula M. Randle in Florida and she preceded March 14, 2019. During his life he lived in Panama, IL, Sorento, IL, and Coffeen, IL.

He is survived by children, Veronica Cofer of Donnellson, IL and Steve Kuhl of Coffeen, IL; Step children Ben (wife Trisha) Johnson and Haley (husband Chris) Glenn; five grandchildren and nine step grandchildren; five great grandchildren and siblings, Bernetta Spaeth, Ruth Ann Daiber, George “Bud” Kuhl, Mary Mullen, Urban Kuhl, Herman “Red” Kuhl, Edward Kuhl, David Kuhl, Mike Kuhl, and Aggie Huston.

He is preceded by his parents; wife, Paula; son, Danny Kuhl, at six months old, and sisters, Annetta Kuhl-Middleton and Alice Campbell.
